It is in excellent condition, with no deep scratches, chips or cracks. It features stripes of clear, ruby red, green, yellow and pink acrylic. Norguet studied at ENSCI in Paris, and received acclaim in the 1990s when he was commissioned by Louis Vuitton to oversee all of their visual communications. In 1999 Giulio Cappellini was presented a prototype of the Rainbow chair and the following year it went into production.
